Melody had a special day hanging out with her most favorite critter Rocky. She got a call early this morning from a friend that there was a seal at her "old beach". It didn't take her long to get ready and out to the site. It's always a risk that the seal will leave before you can arrive on site.
Not today, Melody got there and there was Rocky snoozingpeacefully. It looked as though she had overnighted in the morning glories. A little after she got there Rocky began making her move galumphing towards the water. Usually this is a sign she is ready to leave, but she took her time today. Needless to say Melody was thrilled to spend the time with her.
There was absolutely no one on the beach and no one came by to take a look for hours. Rocky got to enjoy the peace and quiet. There was some rain showers off and one, but that didn't prevent Melody from staying. It was a little after lunch when Rocky finally left. She was reported to the hotline.
Team R&B had a short day today. They had some personal business to tend to and the rain didn't help.
They got out early and headed over to track. They immediately saw R407 all snuggled up in the vines on shore.
Then a seal hauled out to R407's right. One of the big boys, RN14 Kalani with his brand new coat. He is looking quite handsome.
They went looking for signs that had been on site, but they are gone. Such a shame not being able to put up something to keep the seals safe on a popular beach. Giving up on the signs, they happen to look to the left and way down there was another seal.
This critter had just hauled in by the rocks. When they made their way to the area they ID'd R3CX Nalu.
