Team Billand was actually up and at em early this morning to try and catch the lunar eclipse, but I don't think weather conditions made that possible.
It was 8:30 am when they arrived to the west side spot and spotted RW02 PvKauai. It looked like he just arrived on lower rocks.
Then there was RG28 Lefty and RH76 Kala to the right on the rocks snoozing together in peace. They actually spent the day there together.
RN14 Kalani came in galumphed up on mid rock and immediately went to sleep. Unfortunately a fisherman came by and was not very cooperative about giving Kalani space. Team Billand did their best to let him know to keep his distance but he ignored their plea. It's frustrating when you are out there and people are not respectful. I can only imagine Team Billand's frustration today, but having said that, there have been major improvements over the years. I know it's hard to keep that in mind when you are in the midst of dealing with someone like this.
RH32 Ka'ale came in checking out the area, then galumphed up to RW02 PvKauai. A little later he spots RL20 Kalua and galumphs right up to the kid (so typical of butthead Ka'ale). RL20 Kalua didn't like and and they had a few words. Finally Ka'ale stopped bugging the kid and went back to RW02 and fell a sleep.
Next Kekoa Alii RK72 came up to the right, didn't do anything, went right to sleep and stayed in the same spot all day.
At 3 pm Team Billand went out to plains and found Buster RV08 on shore. The lifeguards set up a zone (forever grateful). It took them a bit but they finally figured out it was Buster. He's a tough one especially when it's sandy.
