Gayle came close to getting skunked but she did find one critter hanging out on Rabbit Island.
Team Billand on the other hand came across four critters today.
They started at a Leeward Beach and saw a critter foraging off shore and waited through the heavy rain. The critter came into the area but stayed in the shallows and went to sleep. They were able to ID RW02 PvKauai.
Later in the day when they came back to check on RW02 they found Kekoa RK72 way up on top rocks to the left. Now they were dealing with the glare of the sun and initially made the ID a challenge. After an hour they got the positive ID.
At another location they came across Lei Ola RH48 resting peacefully on the rocks. Her hook was clearly visible sticking out of the left corner of her mouth. She is showing no signs of stress, her girth is good, nice and round, she is alert and nor shaking or scratching her head.
After leaving Lei Ola they spotted a nice healthy looking male resting on the rocks on his side. They noted a cookie scar on his chest area, a half cookie near his penis and a stub for a tag. They had nothing more to go on, and then they noticed a "O" on the tag. It's Ka'ena ! They usually don't come across him in their travels unless they are out at the point.
