The day began at 0515 with a trip to Kaupo Beach Park to check the status of Irma & Benny. Thankfully , the were gone. I picked up the signs and continued the adventure. I did not hear from them today.
At 0530 it was the Sandy Beach check. One again I was happy to see that Buster had departed. I picked up the signs and headed for AD to begin the day.
We found Kea (RN46) in his favorite nook, at the rock flats, 200 yds east of the wall. He would leave the tide pool at 0839 and leisurely cruised the near shore waters moving west, arriving at the cove near the 100 yd rock flats at 0858. He was still foraging and exploring when Vikki relieved me at 1000. I was back for the 4-7 shift and found Kea now snoozin’ on the sand near the water line at the 100 yd mark. Apparently, he had remained in the water moving back and forth between this location and his start point, finally hauling out at 1245. He was still there when Kathy and Gayle took pity on me and let me come home to start the dailies. Marilyn closed up the shop at AD at dark.
Team Billand checked in at 0559 with the report of Pohaku (RO28) at Secrets. They would later advise that she had departed somewhere between 10 & 11.
At 0818 they reported M&M (R020) at Kalaeloa Campgrounds.
Lesley sent photos from today at Ka'ena Point showing RW02.
In the Yesterday's News department she got shots of a swimmer at Turtle Bay which turns out to be RK36.

This is nothing but disturbing.... i don't understand what the deal is with people driving on the beach... and the second question is what the heck is good with laws if they're not enforced!
MM
Just a little more.... she and Pohaku are close in the timing of their molting
