8-21-2013 DB Dailies: Kea@AD, Buster@SB, Kaiwi@SC, Kainoa@RI, Aukai@Pele's Chair, Irma&Benny@KBP, Pohaku@PC&Sec, RIP&Haupu@PC

At 0545 we found Kea lolling in his nook at the rock flats 200 yds east of the AD wall. During the course of the day he would leisurely swim to the rock flats , 100 yd east of the wall, and then back again to his starting point. At 1555 he finally hauled out to the sand at the 100 yd location, where he remained until end of day.

　

Posse member Teri called at 0957 to advise of an animal just hauling out to the east end of Sandy Beach. When I arrived at 1003 I found and cordoned off Buster (RV08).

　

Gayle called at 1109 with the report of Kaiwi (RK96) at Spitting Cave.

　

At 1209 I found Kainoa (RN04) on the left end of the beach on Rabbit Island.

　

A call from Dana at 1418 brought word of "L12" at what would prove to be Pele’s Chair, near Makapuu. I last saw Aukai (RL12) on 7-23-13 at RI.

　

At 1605 Dera called about an animal at "Baby Makapuu". When I arrived at Kaupo Beach Park at 1613 I found 2 seals. They would prove to be Irma (R010), and Benny (RE74). I cordoned them off and did lots of "outreach".

　

Team Billand called at 0555 with the report of M&M (R020) at Kalaeloa Beach Park.

　

At 0640 they reported Pohaku (RO28) at Paradise Cove.

At 0752 they reported that RIP (RR70) had joined her.

　

The Billands called at 1025 to advise that Charles and crew had put a Critter Cam on RIP, and also gave him new tags. He is now RR46/47, but of course the office will still refer to him as RR70. Both Pohaku and RIP would leave PC.

　

At 1120 the Billands reported that Haupu (RB24) had hauled out to Paradise Cove.

　

At 1752 Team Billand reported Pohaku at Secret Beach , KoOlina.

　

Diane Gabriel sent shots of R912 & Pup today.

The Billands are still out there workin' and completely whipped. Check the blog in the morning for the stuff.....maybe.... and... the blog lady makes it ...
