8-13-2013 DB's Dailies:Irma&Kea(D#40)@AD, Kaiwi@BF, Duke&Mojo@RI, Pohaku&Kolohe@Sec, M&M@KCG, Ewa Girl@RR, R912&Pup@Mokuleia

At 550 I found Irma & Kea (R010)(D#40) out on the west rock flats, within the SPZ. At 0608 they began a feed which was still in progress when I departed at 0700. According to the log they did 2 additional swims and 2 more feeds. On my 4-7 shift they hauled out to the west rock flats and did a feed. Irma remained on some higher rock, while Kea played in a near by tide pool. Kea hauled out for a short snooze and then with Irma in the lead they entered the tide pool again at 1805.

　

At 0918 Gayle reported Kaiwi (RK96) at Buster Flats.

　

At 0926 I found Duke (RA12) and Mojo (RI17) 20 ft apart on the left end of Rabbit Island. This was Mojo’s first visit home since 4-11-13. He is mostly a Molokai guy now. During a short confrontation between the two I’m reasonably sure I saw a short piece of leader hanging from the left side of Duke’s mouth. I was viewing from his right side, so I’m unsure of anything beyond that . After having words, Duke relocated to the left end rock flats and Mojo moved to 30 ft right of 3BS.

　

Team Billand called at 0641 with the report of Pohaku (RO28) at Secrets. They would advise that she departed there at 0807 and began foraging off shore of Lanikuhonua. They reported that she hauled out there at 0818 in the company of Kolohe (RW22).

　

At 0926 they reported M&M (R020) at Kalaeloa Campgrounds.

 

Donna called at 1152 with the report of Ewa Girl (RS00) at the Reef Runway today.

 

Kimo spent time with R912 & Pup today, and provided more excellent shots.
