8-2-2013 DB Dailies: Irma&Kea@AD, Kolohe@Maili Pt, M&M@KCG, Rocky&RIP@Kahala

We arrived at AD’s to find Irma&Kea (D#29) once again at the usual Naupaka bush. The started down with Kea in the lead at 0617 and were in the tide pool at 0630. They would swim 150 ft west and back to the tide pool multiple times during the session, all in near shore waters. Irma attempted an unsuccessful water feed at 0824, and hauled out just a tad more at 0844 to do a better feeding job, but the pup still got washed, so they continued the swim. They had just hauled out to the water line as I departed at 1000. According to the log they did 4 feeds today and 1 additional water session, hauling out at evening to the Naupaka line.

　

At 0727 Team Billand reported Kolohe (RW22) at Maili Pt.

　

At 0805 they found M&M (R020) at Kalaeloa Campgrounds.

　

Dera called at 1357 with the report of 2 animals in Kahala. Colleen, on her first official post vacation response, called to confirm Rocky (RH58)& RIP (RR70) in the wilds of Kahala somewhere between Kahala Beach Park & Hunakai St. LOL Welcome home Colleen!!!  Rocky was determined to see you!!!
