At 0600 we found Irma&Kea (D#39) in snooze mode, mid SPZ, just above the water line. The first order of business was to repair a downed pole and fencing at the east end. It may have been wind, but a nearby party site with pallets and extinguished fire, and clothing left behind on the fencing might also suggest party animal participation. Two of the party people came back later to pick up their clothes, and to dig through the sand looking for the cell phones each had lost and did not find. When asked about the fence they, of course , knew nothing. Ain’t Karma a Bitch ????
Irma & Kea did a feed from 0706 till 0740, and from 0803 until my departure at 1000 they did a swim session, staying within the SPZ area, and venturing out several times to the white water 50+ ft off shore, always returning to the inside waters. According to the log there were 3 more feeds and 1 swim session.
At 1103 Kimo reported Kaiwi (RK96) at Buster Flats.
At 1232 I found Duke (RA12) and an U/F together, 60 ft left of 1BS on Rabbit Island. The female was of juvenile size, very green , with 2 red tags. My dollar is on Nani, by size and location , but Aukai might be a possibility. The bottom line is that she must be carried as an U/F .
At 1320 on a pan I found Kainoa (RN04) just hauling out to the far left end of the beach on RI.
Team Billand reported Pohaku (RO28) at Secrets, in the company of a male that would later (0649) be identified as Benny (RE74). They were reported to have departed Secrets, and apparently relocated to one of the KoOlina lagoons, though the lagoon number was not know.
At 0900 the Billands reported M&M (R020) at Kalaeloa Campgrounds. She would be joined by Buster (RV08) at 1324.
Diane Gabriel & Vikki pulled a shift with R912&Pup today, and sent along photos of the duo.
