8-25-2013 DB's Dailies: Kea@AD, Ewa Girl&Duke@RI, Irma&Benny@KBP, Buster@SB, Aukai@Pele's Chair, RK36@SC, Pohaku@Sec, M&M@KCG, Haupu@Banyans, Rocky@WSK

At 0555 we found Kea (RN46) in the channel at the 100 yd rock flats. Around 0700 he began a swim to his favorite nook at the 200 yd flat, and then continued on beyond that an additional 50 ft, before doing a leisure return to his starting point at the channel, and a snooze.

At 0650 I found Ewa Girl (RS00), 80 % molted, at Left Middle Cliff, on Rabbit Island. She was only visible from the Makapuu Overview.

At 0753 Kimo called with the report of RK36 doing 8 minute dives at Spitting Cave.

At 0910 Cianna called with the report of 2 animals around the tide pools between Makapuu and Kaupo Beach Park. At 0939 I found Irma (R010)& Benny (RE74) hauled out together at Kaupo Beach Park. I managed to get a minimal cordon up around them amongst the masses. The place was a zoo. Thankfully, they departed at 1513.

At 1004 Kimo called with the report of Aukai (RL12) once again at Pele’s Chair.

At 1051 Duke (RA12) hauled out to the left end of the beach on Rabbit Island.

At 1151 Lifeguard posse member Billy called with the report of an animal just hauling out at Sandy Beach. When I arrived at 1057 I found Buster (RV08) waiting for me. I cordoned him off and he has remained the rest of the day. Buster departed at 1717.
