Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:45 to 2:40 pm and there were three seals seen during that time.
When she arrived and started viewing there were two seals on the 1BS side of LPB:
R416 MaKali'i: sub-adult size, new coat, light male belly with distinctive scars and no tags.
RT19 went into the water at about 1:15 om and Marilyn thinks he is the seal that showed up on the Lanikai side of LPB at 1:28 pm.
At 2:18 pm, Marilyn saw another seal had joined R416. Marilyn thinks this was weaner RT90: largers weaner size, male belly and two red tags.
Team R&B first find today was Miss Kala RH76. She was alone resting at her zen area. NOAA was coming out to the area to see if they could bleach any of the seals. Unfortunately Kala wasn't a good candidate today.
They waited and spotted another seal coming into the area. The sela was vocalizing, mouth wide open and then hauled out. It was RL20 Kalua, not a candidate to bleach either.
( The conditions and location have to be right in order to bleach the seal)
They all decided to head over to another location. They went down towards yoks and spotted a young male seal. They ID'd RP28/P29. Turns out he's not a good candidate due to his old coat.
Since NOAA wasn't having much luck they left for the day. Team R&B went searching for other seals. They found one last seal who was one of their special critters RH32 Kaale.
He galumphed up on the rocks, looked around, stretching his neck, dove in the water went around the rocks then came back up. He came up on the rocks through the left side very cautiously. He is looking so green these day. Kaale finally settled in on a spot.
