They started their day at Kahe with their first find. Alone on the rocks was RL08 resting. He is really green, which made them wonder if he was the "green" seal seen foraging at Pokau the other day.
Next they headed over to Pokai where they found RH76 Kala. She was alone resting at her zen garden. Then Team R&B got some disturbing news from a woman who said, there had been two people there harassing some seals that were on the rocks. The womanactually called the police. Of course this upset Team R&B and they were concerned in that for the last couple week they have seen 4 to 5 seals in the area. They have done lots of outreach, only to hear two idiots could have hurt them. They thanked the woman for helping.
They went and searched for hours looking for RH32 Kaale, RL20 and Lei Ola. They did not see them anywhere. Hopefully they were just run off and found a better place to rest.
After hearing the disturbing news they needed to take some time, so they headed to Ka'ena West and walked. Things like this makes one question whether or not one has the strength to keep the effort going. They thought about and wondering if the seals they been looking after for the last two weeks would be okay.
That when they looked down and saw a very green seal with no tags. I personally think its a sign, that not even five minutes into their walk they come across a seal.
They weren't sure who this little critter was, he looks like the seal they saw last week at yoks. After a while they thought this might be R407 Kawika, and it looks like he's going to molt soon.
After leaving Ka'ena west they stopped by the cliffs to check. They were happy to find Mr. Kai RM31.He was alone resting on the edge of the rocks.
They had to take junior sealette back home but stopped at one more place. There were no seals but then saw some splashing. A good way to end an upsetting day was getting to see the dolphins doing what they do best.
