April 23, 2024 Tuesday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕  See part two for Marilyn's Rabbit Island update.

Marilyn received a text that there were two seals on a southeast side beach.  She went to check and found KC RK28 and R416 Makali'i.  She spent close to two hours with the critters. Gamma Gayle was on site and had called the hotline and was able to set up the SRA for both seals.
RK28 KC was ID'd by her adult size, female belly, no tags, CC scars
on right and left shoulders, mobbing scar on her rear dorsal and horseshoe-shaped scar on her ventral. She looks healthy and plump.
The other seal originally thought to be RJ06, but Marilyn realized it was too small. This seal is a large juvenile or small sub-adult. Then the applied N10 bleach on the dorsal was visible! Ta-da there was what she needed to ID R416. He has no tags and has several distinctive ventral scars.

Team R&B first stop was at Kahe where they found three males. The boys were together enjoying a good sleep.  They were RM31 Kai, RG28 Lefty and RG32.

Next stop was at Nimitz and they were thrilled to find two males on Kermits Reef.  There was RN14 Kalani and R407. Eventually they both got knocked off the reef by the waves. R407 landed on the sandy patch and RN14 went foraging but stayed nearby.

Last but not least they were so happy to find RH76 Kala. She was at her zen garden resting peacefully with all the boys far away from her.  She is just plain and simple fat!
