Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:25 to 1:45 and there were four seals seen during that time.
Out on the rock flats Lanikai side of LPB was what Marilyn believes to be the same Sub-adult Female that was there yesterday. Sub-adult to adult size, tan female belly with some darker splotches, two red tags.
RF34 Pua and PO3 were swimming for over a half hour at the beginning of Marilyn's viewing session. They hauled out on the 3BS side of Middle Cliff about 1:00 pm. PO3 is four weeks old today and beginning its pudgy look. Marilyn did see a sand covered belly but no way of determining its gender. The pup nursed after hauling out, then moved behind mom for a snooze.
Between 3BS and SRI was a Juvenile Female just down the beach from the tree root that washed ashore over a week ago. The JF was juvenile size, light female belly and two red tags. Marilyn would guess this is either RS12 (Sadie's 2023 pup) or RS34 (Pua's 2023 pup).
Team R&B were at plains watching some dolphins for a few. They also found the very large Miss Aukai RL12 resting on shore. There were a lot less folks out on the beach today. They got a big chuckle while watching her trying to stretch.
Next stop at Nimitz they were happy to find another seal. It was RN14 Kalani resting peacefully. They had a scar when three big dogs showed up running on the reef to the left. Team R&B stayed keeping watch, thankfully two men arrived and the dogs left with them.
