April 30, 2024 Tuesday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:15 to 2:10 and there were five seals seen during that time.
Initially on LPB was an Unknown Adult: dark coat, no visible markers, not sure about tags or sex. The UA entered the water about 12:42 when Marilyn spotted a UJ off shore. The UA then cruised down the shore in the Makapuu direction. At 1:43 pm the UA approached RF34 and PO3 in the water. RF34 Pua charged at the UA who left and moved further down the shore, hauling out on the
waterfront rocks between 3BS and SRI.
RF34 Pua and PO3 were in the water off shore until they hauled out about 12:38 pm between Middle Cliff and 3BS. After a snooze and a nursing session, mom and pup reentered the water about 1:39 pm. It was a short time later that the UA approached them. Marilyn noted she was happy to see Mom and pup spending quality time in the water.
Amount waterfront rocks about 20 feet Lanikai of the 3BS was a Sub-adult Male: small sub-adult size, light male belly, and unsure about tags.
Initially between 3BS and SRI was an Unknown Juvenile: juvenile size, unsure about tags or sex. The UJ entered the water about 12:20 and cruised down the shore in the Lanikai direction where the UJ was seen off the water from the SM and ultimately the UA at LPB. Marilyn then lost sight of the UJ.

Team R&B had a very very slow day.  They only found one seal. Kalua RL20 was alone resting on the rocks. They saw someone in the area so they didn't stay as they didn't want to draw any attention to
him.
The only other finds for them today was a wild turkey, certainly not something you see everyday,  They also saw some crabs hanging out in a discarded shrimp container. It would be funny if it weren't for the fact it was wild life interacting with litter.
