Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:07 to 2:37 and there were five seals seen during that time.
On LPB were two seals:
Adult Male: adult size, darker coat, mottled medium gray male belly and at least one red tag.
Adult Female: adult size, older coat, yellowish brown mottled female belly, unsure about tags. She did not seem pleased with the attention from the adult male.
At their usual spot int he middle cliff area were Mom RF34 Pua and pup. The pup moved around under the watchful eye of mom. Marilyn did see at least one nursing session. Both mom and pup seem to be doing well.
Between 3BS and SRI was a Juvenile Female: juvenile size, yellow female belly and two red tags.
Team R&B started their day watching five seals in the water fighting. They were able to ID RM31 Kai, RL08, RL20 Kalua, R407 and an unknown adult.
R407 peaked up at the rocks, but didn't stay. RM31 Kai and RL20 Kalua hauled in.
Team R&B left the site and went back after lunch. They now found RL08 had hauled up. RM31 and RL29 were still there onsite.
Back tracking to the bay, they were happy to find a critter. When they checked for an ID, they were shocked to find Miss Kala RH76. She was back resting in her "zen garden". At first they thought she looked thinner, until she stretched out, and there she was big and beautiful.
Their last find of the day was at the cliffs. The seal was well hidden in the rocks. They spent quite awhile looking, did see two tags but could not read them. Then they noticed the three white nails and was able to ID RL70 Leina.
