April 13, 2024 Saturday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 3:20 to 3:55 and there were four seals seen during that time.
Out on LPB was TA68, he was ID'd by his left side CC bite, his two right side CC scars, and his mottled gray male belly with nb.

Still at middle cliff were RF34 Pua and pup. The pup headed for the water, but seemed disappointed that mom didn't join in. Then the pup returned to mom to nurse before crawling behind mom for a snooze.

On the rock flats next to SRI was an Unknown Adult: adult size, no info on sex or tags.

Team R&B started their day with two seals. The boys were resting together about six feet apart. RL08's applied N18 bleach was showing and to his right was RM31 Kai.

Next stop they found RN14 Kalani resting on Kermit's reef. They were there for a while waiting for three ladies to move away. They were taking photos of someone on the reef.
Finally when they moved Team R&B noticed something on the rocks about four feet away from RN14. Sadly it was a dried up turtle. They saw a volunteer in the distance, so they wait for him to come. They let him know about the seal and the turtle that was there.
RN14 was aware of the turtle, as he kept looking at it and at one point even snorted at it.
Team R&B stayed a couple of hours hoping someone would come and pick up the honu.

Last stop at the cliffs they saw a seal, subadult size, brown coat. They waited for a bit for it to move, since they weren't sure who it was. Then a crab came alone and crawled up on the seal, and they saw his tags RP30/31. That hadn't seen Puka in a very long time. Thankfully they were patient and waited for get the id.
