Tammy did an early morning Ka'ena Point hike on Sunday. She found four seals out at the point. R416 Makali'i (male) was resting on shore with R418 Kamea (female). Lesley helped Tammy ID R418.
Then there were two seals playing in the water. R330 Squinty and the U/U with the N11 applied bleach. Once again with Lesley's assistance Tammy was able to ID the N11 as the unknown juvenile male. Lesley has given him the nickname Kaipo. Hopefully he'll get a permanent ID soon.
Soon after R418 Kamea entered the water.
Team R&B went down to Secrets today. There was a small crowd of folks and a volunteer on site.
There were two seals, near the gate was RG28 Lefty. Below on shore snoozing was RH32 Kaale.
They only had one other seal today. They found RH76 Kala at the bay. She was alone resting peacefully.
R416 & R418
