We got more news from Liz on Molokai. She wanted the Oahu folks to know that our beloved R016 Right Spot was across the channel. She looking good and doing just fine.
Meanwhile on Oahu, Team R&B first find was Miss Kala RH76. She was in her usual "zen" spot getting slammed by the waves. Some chanters came and Kala was aware of them by turning and looking. She stayed in her spot in spite of the crashing waves and chanting. If that wasn't enough a family with very loud children came and hung out. Team R&B stayed until they all left.
On their travels they hit lots of traffic due to a down pole. Thankfully they knew some of the back roads but even with that it was slow moving.
Finally making their way through they checked out yoks and found a small seal on shore by the lifeguard's board. They did not recognize this small female at all. She has a big scar on her right rear (like a prop scar), a big scar on her right flipper, her tags read L28/L33.
They found out she was born on Kauai to RK28 "KC" in 2019. This was the first time they had seen her so there's another new kid in the neighborhood!
This was the highlight of the day even with the all the traffic they had to deal with!
