Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:05 to 1:40 and there were three seals seen during that time.
Between 1BS and 2BS was a Sub-Adult Male: sub-adult size, light gray male belly and two red tags.
At 12:20, Marilyn spotted a seal hauling out onto the rock flat on the Lanikai side of SRI. The seal was an Adult Female: adult size, light gray female belly and at least one tag. There was a jagged diagonal scar on the upper chest/ lower neck area.
There was a third seal barely visible behind waterfront rocks between SRI and RRB. This seal being reported as an Unknown Unidentified: sub-adult to adult size, unsure about sex or tags.
Team R&B started at the bay and saw a sub-adult seal forging off shore. They watched and identified RL20 Kalua as he tossed an eel mid air and eating it. He never hauled out during their observations.
They headed over to the cliffs where they saw a seal, quite hidden. They were lucky the seal gave a flipper flex and could ID RM31 Kai. There were people on the rocks so they didn't stay around, so he would hopefully stay undetected.
Lastly they spotted a seal from afar at Makua Beach. They could seepeople were getting close and laying down next to the seal for their photo. Team R&B called the hotline and headed over to the site.
When they got there, the folks had left (thank goodness). They identified the seal as R413 the female called Makamae.
