Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:04 to 1:44 and there were four seals seen during that time.
Could be the same four as yesterday.
Alone between 1BS and 2BS was Adult Male 1: adult size, medium gray male belly and two red tags.
Near each other between 3BS and SRI were two seals:
Adult Male 2: adult size, darker make belly and no apparent tags.
Juvenile Female: juvenile size, older coat, light yellowish female belly and two red tags.
On the rock flats next to SRI was an Unknown Adult: adult size, at least one red tag and unknown sex since it never showed its ventral side.
Team R&B only found RH76 Kala at the bay. She was alone up in her "zen" garden. She had a visitor, a guy who always walks too close to the seals taking cell phone photos. He doesn't disturb the seals, and they think he may have special needs. Team R&B always acknowledge him and he usually walks away. Seems he is fascinated by the seals. Meanwhile Kala was undisturbed and was settled in.
Since they weren't having much luck finding any other seals they decided to check KoOlina once more. There was only one seal when they were there. A volunteer arrived and put up signs then left to tend to another site. The seal was RL08 resting up by the napaka.
Team R&B waited around to see what would happen once the volunteer left. It's so hard to watch how people are so disrespectful. They read the signs and then walks up to the seal. This happened immediately and happens over and over again.
