Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:20 to 1:15 and there were three seals seen during that time.
Almost directly down from the 1BS among waterfront rocks was R606: sub-adult size, light yellow male belly, no tags, and a nb on the tip of RFF. Thank goodness for natural bleach marks!
Near 2BS was a Juvenile Female: juvenile size, light gray female belly and no visible tags.
Between 3BS and SRI was a Sub-adult Male: sub-adult size, medium grayish brown male belly and two red tags. He appeared to have a 2-inch line scar on his right mid chest area.
Team R&B started their day at the bay and were thrilled to find two seals. There was RH76 Kala with RM31 Kai at the zen garden.
They headed off to yoks and looking around the area they ran into a lifeguard who let them know he had just seen a seal. They headed over into the area where he pointed and found RK42/43 the female from Kauai. She was high up on shore alone and snoozing. They made a zone out of sticks since they don't have any signs. They hung out with her for a couple of hours, doing their best educating folks and to stay back from the seal.
From there they headed over to secrets. When they got to the area they saw three seals together in the corner, signs were up and a volunteer was on site.
The three seals were: RH32 Kaale, RN14 Kalani who is molting, and RK72 Kekoa Alii. The boyz club.
Team R&B noticed another seal hauling up in the Waianae end of the beach. They could see it was a fat female, with CC scar on right side and no tags. That gave them enough information to ID R413 Makamae. They gave the volunteer the IDs who was surprise to see a fourth seal had hauled out.
