Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕 I also included in a separate post Rocky's 22nd birthday celebration!
Team R&B had a very slow seal day. They had only two seals today.
At one west side location they found RP30 Puka.
They observed a celebration today Sovereignty Restoration Day. The Hawaiian Kingdom celebrated on July 31 and still celebrated by Native Hawaiians.
Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:30 to 2:00 and there were four seals on Island.
Weaner PO7 Mahina was on the Lanikai side of LPB. She spent all of her time snoozing.
Marilyn first saw weaner RQ76 Malama at about 1:05 among the waterfront rocks between 1BS and 2BS.She is really hard to distinguish from the rocks around her. It does appear that she may have been going up into the dunes at night based on the seal tracks.
On the 1BS side of LPB was RK37 Hui'a. Subadult female, new coat with a light female belly, two red tags and NB on her lower left side.
Initially on the waterfront rock flat in the Middle Cliff area was a S/F: subadult, new coat, a light female belly and two red tags. She is possibly the same seal Marilyn saw yesterday in the same spot.
At 12:45 Marilyn realized that she had disappeared from the Middle Cliff area. At 1:10 it appears she hauled out in the middle of LPB.
