07/07/2022 Thursday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Team R&B💕

On their early check for seals they were thrilled to find RL08 on the rocks alone (at first).  They tried to get a look at his cyst but because of his position they didn't have a good view. They waited but the little buggah wouldn't move, so they left him to rest.
They returned a little later and found RL20 on the rocks now. They were cautious because of the dogs in the area, so they took a couple of photos and left. They texted Melina about their findings, so she went to check on them. Melina let them know that RL20 had four small hooks and a short line. The hotline was informed.
When they got back to the site, both boys were gone. They were frustrated and felt bad they hadn't seen
the hooks earlier.
Then they noticed another seal hidden. Needless to say they were thrilled to see KG54 Huakai. She is a big girl and has put on weight since the last time they saw her.

At another west side location they found RP30 Puka on lower rocks. He was snoozing peacefully. His tags and applied bleach were both visible. He is looking greener and greener by the day.

Next Team R&B got word there were two seals at a beach, so they headed over to check it out. Upon arrival, a nice guy told them one seal just left heading west.  There was on seal on shore and it was RL42 Leia. She turned around and headed further up on shore, seems she was planning on staying. RL42 was very alert of everything around her (my guess was the other seal was a male).

They made the Ka'ena West Trek and as they reached the area where they found Pe'ekai yesterday, they spotted a male seal cruising,
bobbing up and down, looking at the rocks and then he took off. They tried to keep up with it, they saw it moved to the next site, then left and kept cruising. They saw a green snout, two marks on right side of his head. They think it's Kaale.
They walked to the arches at Ka'ean West without anymore animals seen, just the cruiser.

So they returned to check in on RL42 Leia and she was still there, but now she had company. There was a big male with red tags. It took them a bit to get the ID because he was sandy but finally they ID'd RH32 Kaale.
Some local kids came by, yelling at the seals, tossing sand at them. RL42 raised up and turned to look at the kids. Shame on them!
