Team Billand was busy at Maili today. They found RW02 PVKauai and Kekoa RK72 asleep on the lower rocks next to each other. Eventually Kekoa went into the water hole for the day and RW02 went in the shallows to sleep. Both animals were still there on their late afternoon check.
Team Billand spotted two critters off shore, they were able to ID RIP RR70 and Ka'ale RH32 foraging and playing for hours. Team Billand stood by for three hours hoping they would haul out but they never did. On their afternoon check RIP was still off shore foraging and no sign of Ka'ale.
Team Billand saw RN14 hauling up coming in quick, no hesitation just up and out. He immediately went to sleep on high rocks. On the last check he was still in the same spot sleeping.
Last find of the day for Team Billand was RL42 at Makua Cliffs. She was alone in between the rocks snoozing away. She never moved, so getting a tag shot was a challenge but they got it.
Gayle spotted three critters on Rabbit Island today. She missed Buster at Sandy Beach this morning.
An email from Melody brought news of Rocky hanging out at Iroquois Point on Sunday. She arrived about 3 pm. Melody checked the beach this morning around 5:30 and she was gone.
