Team Billand found Kekoa Alii RK72 and RW02 PVKauai on the Leeward Side from early morning both of them were there. Kekoa on mid high rock and RW02 lower rocks. Both remained there all day.
Then they spotted four critters just off shore, fighting/playing monk seal games and into the cove area. There were fishermen in the area Team Billand spent time talking with them. Seems they had a lot of misinformation about the seals. They were respectful and wanted to fish, so they moved on. The cast of four were identified as Ka'ale RH32, RN14, RIP RR70 and RK36 Kauai Kolohe.
Eventually this quartet would land on the Beach, take off, and land again. Only RK36 Kauai
Kolohe stayed hauled up to the rocks and remained all day.
Last part of the day RIP RR70 ended up alone. Ka'ale landed on high rocks and RN14 was foraging off shore alone. And that is the rest of the story.
Gayle came up empty again today but did send a photo of a cloud formation off of Sandy Beach. Toto we're not in Kansas anymore.
