Posse Pal Vicki checked out the North Shore and came up empty at Turtle Bay. She did come across Ipo RI37 in Hauula along with a bird who was in the middle of lunch. Great timing on the photo.
At 6:45 am Team Billand saw a large seal at the Surf Shack at White Plains. Upon arrival they saw two guys who were very close to her. They immediately put up signs and educated with the HMS 101 talk. They ID'd the seal as RO28 Pohaku. The hotline was called a couple of times. Let the hotline know looked like kids were out of school. Team Billand left Pohaku RO28 at 9:40 am. not sure if anyone went out to check on her.
Team Billands next stop at Maili where they found Kekoa Alii RK72 and RW02 PVKauai on the lower rocks, resting in the cold chilly wind and slight drizzles.
While at Maili, Barbara noticed two more animals off shore foraging and fighting alot. Barb followed the seal movements and ID'd small light colored seal as Ka'ale RH32 and the bigger seal as RIP RR70.
After a lot of commotion, RIP would land and Ka'ale disappeared (RIP probably gave him a good nip). RIP landed below the boys (Kekoa & PVKauai) and ended up on lower rocks. All three boys were there when they left. Seems like RIP has been foraging for days, good he's getting some rest.
The last critter in Maili was RN14. He was way to the right on high rocks alone. He never moved stayed quiet and alone.
