Thank you Kelly Girl for sending in the late night update from the north shore today..... I guess there was/is a concern if La'akea escaped all the fish hooks from the weekend.... let's hope she has! Anyone out on this weeks shifts pay close attention to her tail.... see if you can get some detail shots (higher resolution the better).
GORGEOUS Sunset !!!

It was great to see La'akea foraging into the night eating 4 to 5 sea cucumbers. When I left her she was straight out from Mckenzie's pool about 200 yards or more. It was dark when I left. I called Karen Turner this morning 19SEP because curiosity was killing me of which zone if any she hauled back to last night. Karen said she was already out in the water foraging at McKenzie's pool. It is such a joy to see her in action.
Late yesturday evening a hiker came back from the other side of Kahuku Point and reported a very large seal...Right Spot? R5AY? Without a picture we will never no.
Hopefully some one can get out there more often to check that area call Hanakailio Beach aka High Sands. I have also heard of a seal that had hauled out a few days before by the Stables at Turtle Bay. These areas from the stables to Ola's to Right Spot's spot an on past Kahaku Point should be checked regularly if we have any takers or let's say trekkers!
Wish I didn't have to work otherwise I would be out there.
Aloha all and have a great seal day in paradise. kelly girl
