9-13-11 DB Dailies and more

At 0545 the Dawn Patrol arrived at AD to find Irma (R010)&Kaiwi, lolling in the water. As has become the norm, the would later haul out to the west end rock flats for a feed and a snooze, requiring the extention of the compound with cones,signs and rope. The would return to the water at 1220 for another swim. I picked up the cones etc. and departed. Lauray and Lesley called dat 1412 to advise that Irma and Kaiwi had just hauled out beyond the east end of the fence. Again we extended the compound with the cones etc. Thankfully, the would move back within the existing compound at 1530, though just 20 ft from the fence line, so the cones and signs will remain in place.

On my 0656 , Spitting Cave check I found Buster (RV08) doing 12 minute dives. When I got to Makai Pier at 0743 for my Rabbit Island check I found Duke (RA12), and the same U/F I've been reporting the last few days. M&M is a distinct possibility, but I just can't prove it. The real find of the day came at 1053 when KC (RK28) hauled out at the left end of the island. She had last been seen on the Mokes on 9-11-11.

Team Billand did the Reef Runway check today. Though they did not find Kekoa, the did find an 85% molted Ewa Girl.

Dana called at 1800 at advise that Rocky (RH58) was on the beach at Magic Island. Volunteers were on the scene. Thanks to Robert Keogh for the Rocky shots.

Tracy called at 0805 to advise that NOAA personnel were at Ka'ena Point and had successfully removed Kerby's hook. They also reported 761 at the end of the world.
