10-14-2013 DB's Dailies: Irma@MB, Kea&Buster@BH, Kea@SB, Kolohe,Duke&Nani@RI, Kermit@WP, Rocky@NIM, UU@Mokes, UU@Waialua

I checked the cove at 0530 and found that Kea was gone . I picked up the stuff and continued the adventure.

At 0600 I found a 70% molted Irma (R010) once again at Makapuu Beach. I restrung the cordon.

At 0705 I found Buster (RV08) & Kea (RN46) playing and foraging together at Blowhole. Kea disappeared at 0840. Buster remained.

At 0934 while sitting at Crappy Cove, I found Buster swimming in for a look& leave. He was heading east. I went down to check Irma’s and sure enough there was Buster again, cruisin’ the beachfront. I moved ahead to AD, but he never showed there. I didn’t see him again today.

I returned to CC and at 1019 found Kea (RN46) just hauling out to the water front rocks at the east end of the cove. I established and SPZ. He has remained the rest of the day. Thank you Brandi for the 1300-1600 break. Kea departed at 1755.

Team Billand called at 0729 with the report of Kermit (R012) cruisin’ the coastline a White Plains. They reported his haul out fronting #1944 at 0738. Kermit was run off at 1600 by a paddleboarder.

At 0840 Dana called with the report of an U/U at Moku Nui. No further word. I asked the KSK guide to send me some pics from the morning tour.... i never heard back from them. I know they had a very busy day being a holiday, i will check in with them tomorrow.

At 1351 Dana called with the report of an U/U at Crozier Dr, Waialua. No further word.

At 1703 Team Billand reported Rocky (RH58) at Nimitz Cove. She had unwelcome visitors which the Billand dealt with

Miss Irma molting away....
 Buster and Kea
 Kea
always amazing me how they can make themselves comfortable on a pile of rocks...
 Nani on Rabbit Island

I accidentally sent of the first daily without adding a paragraph about Ken's KP finds today. Kerby (RW08) is a sure thing. I'm just not sure about the ID on the second animal, but that patch on the back looks familiar but I just can't place it. Anybody got any ideas ?
 Kerby
UU ??? Kerby in the corner
Kermit at White Plains
Doing a swim by looking at the human hauled out on the beach
 oh look a sand sculpture

 Rocky at Nimitz

My first thought for the U/U...RIP???? We havent seen him out our way since his entanglement day.

He did have glue on his back, that patch look? Maybe its him. And he would have a green face...not RW02 who is newly MOLTED. We go with...RIP.

I agree with Barbara, RR70 "Rip" is the only one around that has had a recent tag come off.

Trying to fool poor ole Kermit with a sand sculpture?

NOPE, Kermit went to 1944 Plains, then, I went over to 1708 and 1707 to build a sculpture.

Kermit would swim away from 1944 and relocated to the 1707 area, where the sand sculpture was.

He remained there, till, the paddle boarder ran him OFF.

I build sculptures for the kids that come by, sometimes they join in the fun and build their own animals, other than SEALS. Its fun. At the same time, we get to educate the kids ...

Sometimes Seals will adopt a hole in the sand that a kid or an adult made. Its cute..one year, Kermit went into a huge hole and slept in it all day long at the Plains surfing beach.
