Hi Don!!!
RSF Right Spot Female
Back in the day... a lot of the seals were ID'd and named by their characteristics and frequent haul out spots....
example... rocky who is a female, when she was first seen on a regular basis had algae around her eyes like a raccoon... she was given the named rocky after the beatles tune rocky raccoon. Kermit was just GREEN like kermit the frog. "KC" stands for Kaaawa Critter... lots of history and fun stories. Thanks for asking.
We were gifted this morning with a sweet visit from KC (N14) in Kaaawa this morning. KC has been lolling on the beach and in the shallow waters all morning. WE are down near Kualoa. Is KC a boy or a girl? We would love any info at all on beautiful KC....
My kids and I went for a walk to the east of Turtle Bay Resort and came across N31 sunning on the beach. Unfortunately another family came along and harassed the poor animal to the point it went in the water. The seal seemed healthy with no obvious sores or injuries.
We saw N21 at the Halona Blowhole yesterday

Aloha,
We had the privilege of seeing N13, Ceecee yesterday at Koolina in a beach cove.
She is big, fast and beautiful. She stayed on the shoreline and relaxed in the waves until some tourists were a bit loud, and scared her off.
We felt super lucky to see her.
My husband and I saw N28 at Makapu’u May 5, 2022. She was beautiful. My first and only monk seal sighting. She’s had a tough go quite a few scars but such a majestic lady.
N2 at Kaimana beach, August 12, 2023.
We have N18 sleeping right outside our beach Cabin at Mokuleia!
We happened to see N13, Ceecee, at Paradise Cove. He found a comfy spot on the beach for a morning nap.
Saw N22 on goat island yesterday afternoon, 12/5/24
