February 13, 2026 Friday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Team R&B💕

They were on a mission to find Temp 402. They searched everywhere and were coming up empty. They did see a turtle come up on shore. It had two tumors on its left fore flipper. They documented and then left to check out other locations.
They were watching all the beaches and weren't seeing anything. Then suddenly they saw a sparkle on shore at the surfing beach, smack in the middle of the Buffalo Surg Meet, full of tents and people.
Sure enough it was little Temp 402, with the beach pack, parking full.
Then they saw another seal coming in, which turned out to be RP30 Puka. He came in really cautiously.
Team R&B drove along the coast looking for parking, and they finally got a spot and immediately headed to the beach. It was so crowded that finding Temp 402 was a bit of a challenge.
They finally spotted him and he was surrounded by tourist.  They contacted HMAR to inform them of the situation. Team R&B let them know someone was needed on site.
Team R&B stayed watching the people walking by the poor seal, kids playing in front of him
Not one adult said anything to the kids, just watched.
Team R&B saw a lifeguard that went by on his quad. Unfortunately there were no volunteers, no signs, no cones.
Apparently the lifeguards were told that putting up a sign draws attention to the seal so they were told not to do it anymore.  Hmmmmm  seriously I have strong opinions about some of this, but I will for now keep it to myself.

Same site but different location they spotted a seal from afar. So they made the trek over and found a small female with lots of green and
red tags. They weren't sure who it is and  had a hard time reading the tags.  possibly U23 or U25.   U23 is a female born on Molokai in 2025 and U25 is a male born in 2025.

Lastly checking out other spots, they saw a seal foraging at the outfall area. They couldn't make out who the seal was since they were further away. It was reported as an Unknown Adult.

December 30, 2025 Tuesday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by posse pals Justin and Christine and Team R&B💕

Justin & Christine sent an email letting me know they came across a young seal with tags U22/U23. They were on the west side of Oahu at a secluded rocky cover when the saw her.  They reported it to the hotline.
RU22 is a female born this year (July) on Molokai.

Team R&B started their day finding Miss Kala RH76. She was alone resting peacefully at her zen area.

They headed over to Kahe and spotted one seal on the rocks. They ID'd Kai RM31. A few minutes later RG32 joined RM31 on his rock.
They spotted a seal at the outfall pipes area. The seal was foraging in a crowd of people. They were able to ID RL08.
Meanwhile at Kahe RP30 Puka was on the rocks with RG32. Kai was still there.

From afar they spotted a male seal with one red tag at electric beach.  They believed it was RL08 but wasn't 100% sure. There was a dog nearby playing with a ball, but the seal was fine.
Then the whole time they were standing on the beach, they had no idea there was another seal. There were fishers with their lines in the water and a dog on a leash.  Team R&B was able to ID RS32, the lovely little female. The fishers eventually left and little Miss RS32 remained and was just fine.
