April 16, 2023 Sunday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:30 to 3:05 and there were seven seals on island today.
On LPB were RB12 Sadie and PO4.  Just like yesterday the pup headed for the water and Mom barked to come back. When Marilyn arrived PO4 was just finishing a nursing session.
RF34 Pua and PO3 were about 20 feet of the beach at Middle Cliff. PO4 was mostly hidden behind the waterfront rocks. There was one nursing session.
Initially between 3BS and SRI was a Subadult Male: Marilyn thought he looked really thin, but later he galumphed closer to the other two seals and he looked a little more normal in size. He has a light male belly and two red tags.
There were two seal on the rock flats at SRI. One was an Unknown Unknown who was mostly hidden behind the other seal. The U/U is probably subadult to adult size.
The other seal was an Adult Female: subadult to adult size, older coat, yellow-brown female belly and some green. At least one tag seen during flipper flex.

Team R&B started their day at paradise cove and there were two seals on shore. They were together in the shade of a tree, it was Aukai RL12 and Nalu R3CX.
Soon enough a third seal arrived, it was Kaale RH32. He came up on the reef for a bit then headed for the shore. Nalu R3CX immediately took off after him. As Kaale turned to swim away he left a trail of poop and landed back on the reef. ( I wonder was he scared or sending Nalu a message )
Team R&B called the hotline and stayed until 10, then left to check the other beach.

At another west side location they found three seals. They found RP40 Puka up on high rocks, he was alone. Then there was RL70 Leina was on mid high rocks. And then they were especially to find RH76 Kala who they hadn't seen in six days.

Once again they found RQ24 Mauna in the same spot. They got his ID and didn't stay around to avoid any attention.

Team R&B decided to make the trek out to Ka'ena West. They were rewarded when they came across a seal laying on its back in a small pond. Thankfully his tags were visible. There was RO40 Ka'ena relaxing on his back.
Next find was RM31 Kai alone on the rocks.
