April 1 2023 Saturday's Dailies - no fooling

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 11:30 to 1:55 and there were six seals during her observation.
Out on the rock flats of LPB was an Unknown Subadult: subadult size, no information on gender or tags.
On LPB was an Adult Female: large adult size (presumably pregnant), gray female belly with visible nipples and at least one red tag. Marilyn would guess this to be Sadie RB12, but she never got a look at her left side to see her applied N12 bleach.
Near their usual location about 50 feet Makapuu side of  the 3BS were Mom and PO3. Mom stayed up
on the beach, even though PO3 did go down into the tide pool and into the water by itself.. Mom bellowed and PO3 made its way back up to Mom. Pup is more active and independant, and there were several flipper flexes today.  Marilyn believes Mom is RF34 Pua, who is Sadie's daughter.
Between 3BS and SRI was a Juvenile Female: juvenile size, light gray female belly and at least one red tag.
Barely visible behind the rocks back of SRI was an Unknown Unknown: unknown size, light ventral, no information on tags or gender.

Team R&B arrived at Kahe and spotted a seal swimming off the rocks. It was an adult with a clean coat and at scar on the back of head. The seal never hauled out just swam off the rocks, then it was gone. It was reported at an Unknown Adult.
From afar they could see a seal at tracks.
They drove over to the area and there on shore was RH32 Kaale. They called the hotline to report him.

Next they headed over to another west side location. Much to their
delight they found RM31 Kai. He was on the rocks at seal inlet looking good and healthy. Kai had been spending a lot of time out at Kaena Point lately so it was good to see him back on the west side.

They headed over to the bay thinking they would find RH76 Kala on the rocks, especially since she wasn't at her other spot.  Well  they did find her swimming off as folks were to the right fishing and swimming. Junior Sealette spotted her as she was doing dives, they were able to see her tags.

Team R&B got word of two seals on shore at secrets. They had been there earlier and didn't see any seals then. When they went back to check there was RN14 Kalani with RG28 Lefty. Signs were up but no ropes and a volunteer on site.

The last stop was at paradise cove where they found RH32 Kaale. He was high up on shore near the entrance area. They spoke to a woman
who was upset with  the tourist who were harassing Kaale earlier. She asked them to stop, but they kept at it. She told them they could get big fines for harassing the seal.
When Team R&B arrived all was fine, people were up in the corner quiet. The woman pointed out the people and she had also informed the volunteer who showed up with signs.
