April 10, 2023 Monday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:30 to 3:00 and there were five seals on island today.
Closer to the 1BS on LPB were Sadie RB12 and PO4.  Sadie's applied N12 bleach was visible again today. There was snoozing, nursing and moving up the shore. Both Mom and PO4 seem to be doing just fine.
Pua RF34 and PO3 must have gone for a swim and ended up at the beach in the Middle Cliff area. they were mostly in snooze mode and difficult to see behind the rocks. Finally they did move out onto the beach where they had a nursing session. They seem to be doing good.
About 50 feet Makapuu of 3BS was a Juvenile Male: juvenile size, light tan male belly and at least one red tag. Initially Marilyn though it was the J/F she has been seeing at RRB. But this was definitely a male.

Team R&B started their day first spottling the lovely, Kala RH76 at the seal inlet. Their next was a surprise, while standing looking out over the water they spotted the slightest movement. Oh there was a seal, there was Puka RP30 at the water front rocks.  There was a third seal foraging that finally landed on high rocks. Once he hauled out they ID'd RL08, he appears to gained more marks.

Next they headed over to secrets and there on site was a volunteer with signs and ropes up.
First seal on shore was Lefty RG28.
Over on the reef to the left side were three seals. Aukai RL12 with Nalu R3CX and Kaale RH32.

Their last seal of the day left them stumped. The seal barely moved

and they spent time looking over him. They did not see tags but his hind flippers were closed. There were scars on his under belly and a big boy. He did have a scar on the left of his face. They thought it might be R3CU but decided to just report him as an Unknown Male U/M
