Yesterday we did a walk thru the permitted area of the park checking all the ongoing projects and still managed to document some seals.
All week RL74 Kami and RH76 Kala have been side by side. Kami still has the Ulua hook and Kala is nearly done with her molt.
RO40 Ka'ena is green as a kermit and I wouldn't be surprised if he started to molt soon. RW02 PVKauai spent the day sleeping on a sandy beach. Team T&D's Shearwater chicky is growing, I never see an adult with him but he's surely getting fed. The Spinners dolphins put on a show for us in the morning.
This morning Diane and I monitored together. Park was fairlyempty when we started, alas people started to flow in in the afternoon.
We got to see and document: RL98 Lina who overnighted and spent the day on the beach. RL74 Kami who no longer was with her new buddy RH76 Kala. Kala was moving down to the waterline after overnighting way up high on the beach. R330 Squinty who has been alternating places daily with Ka'ena and finally, RW02 PVKauai who swam around a time pool till he settled near some rock to sleep.
Our local Curlew came back this week and we got to see it again today. Team T&D's Shearwater chick was shy today so I'm including a photo of one of the cousins
More soon - Be Safe
