08/27/2021 Friday Monk Seal Dailies

Today's dailies are brought to you by Team R&B💕.   I also have some special news, some of us were on pup watch starting on Monday and after 40 hours the little pup arrived on Wednesday.  I would like to congratulate our Momma Cianna and Daddy Jose and welcome into the world little Junior.  We are all so happy for you! 

Team R&B changed things up this morning and their first find was R407 Kawika snoozing on shore at tracks. They put up two signs that were left there from yesterday. When they headed up the hill and checked Kawika entered the water and took off.  A young guy decided to swim a little too close to him and he took off.  Later in the day they found Kawika hauled out on the rocks at a different location.

Of when they checked the bay there was RL20 Kalua foraging and going after the fishers lines. Little

green terror has picked up some really bad habits like Kaale. Later in the day they found him hauled out on the rocks snoozing.  He is looking very plump and of course green, can't wait for this kid to molt.

They saw Kaale RH32 enter the bay when a loose dog was told by the owner to sic the seal. The dog chased Kaale and thankfully Kaale took off.  Later Team R&B found him hauling out on the rocks in a nice safe place. He was fine and remained there all day.

Back over at tracks by the camps they found two seals on shore by two guys. The guy walked over near RG28 Lefty who was away of him The guy tossed his line out and his girlfriend tossed a bottle out into the water.  The two seals were ID'd as RG28 Lefty and RL12 Aukai. They were snoozing when another seal was coming in towards them.  While watch over Aukai and Lefty the third seal coming in was Benny RE74, he came right in with a vengeance. Lefty wasn't having it and he charged at Benny. Benny took off and they didn't see him again.  Lefty went into the water looking for Benny, and then returned to Aukai. He went up to her and she went crazy with him  He bit her neck, she fought back and for a few minutes there was lots of drama.  Finally they settled down and that was that.  Team R&B did notify the hotline while the seals were on shore. 

Their final find of the day was R3CX Nalu at another west side location. He was snoozing on the rocks alone. He is looking very green probably due to molt soon.
