Team T&D hiked Ka'ena Point today and met up with Lesley. Their first find was Squinty R330. Next they were happily surprised to find Puka RP30. He seems to be spreading his flippers and traveling away his birth beach. Team T&D spotted a seal but could not get an ID on him. When they met up with Lesley she was able to ID Holokai RG40. They came across RL74 Kami going through her first catastrophic molt. She looks to be about halfway through. Kami also has a new cc scar on her neck. Poor thing for a 2 year old she has a lot of cc bites. Lastly they spotted a seal do a swim by as they were leaving. Later Lesley ID'd the seal as PvKauai RW02.
Team R&B started the day with their little green seal Kalua RL20. He was back at his buffet spot
Team R&B got a text from a friend of seals at tracks. When they arrived there were three seals on shore snoozing. First there was RG28 Lefty near a fishing pole, a scoop net and a coke cup. With a camp in the bushes. Second was Aukai RL12 who is beginning her molt, and third was RH32 Ka'ale. Initially all three were sleeping. Later they woke up and a fight broke out between Kaale and Lefty. (of course they were both posturing for Aukai's attention).
Team R&B headed over to another west side location and found Nalu R3CX on the rocks snoozing. Then they were surprised to find another seal sleeping to the right, it was RN14 Kalani.
Off to another location searching around and amazingly they saw this seal in the rocks. There was there favorite girl snoozing and hidden in the rocks, RL42 Leia. She did move out of the hole and up onto the rocks. A couple of guys came up suddenly so Team R&B left so Leia would stay hidden.
