Today Diane and I monitored together.
We started off with RL98 Lina sleeping, perhaps overnighted, in a little cove. On our second check she was still there. May be a pre-molting behavior.
Next we completely lost track of time while observing little 3 months old RP30 Puka playing with some marine debris. It was a long pole that was breaking like bamboo. He would bring it to the surface, toss it, it would sink, he would go after it, again and again. On our second check he was passed out cold on a little nearby sandy beach.
R3CX Nalu was in the exact same spot I saw him yesterday. He may have overnighted in the tide pool. Some fishermen were on the outer reefs throwing net and he never even lifted his head.
RW02 PVKauai did a swim by then settle on a reef in the middle of a pool and went to sleep.
On our way out, some visitors let us know they had seen "L75", they told us the location and we stopped by to see her. RL74 Kami had hauled out while we were at the point. She still has her Ulua bling, and her molt is in the 60%.
More soon - Be Safe
