Today's dailies are brought to you by Team R&B💕
They started at the outfall and found RN14 Kalani foraging getting his fill. They watched as he left the area and headed to tracks. They saw a lady on shore with a cell phone sitting. Kalani approached to haul out but the girl ran after him. She stood in front o him preventing him from hauling out. Even when he barked she got her friend and the two of them stood on the shoreline taking photos.
Team R&B hurried down to the site, they could actually hear the seal
barking. They yelled out to give the seal some space. RN14 was so close to the shore but did not haul out, just barking at the people. They called the hotline. They submitted their photos to show what was happening and someone from NOAA arrived. The folks were now sitting up on shore, like nothing happened. RN14 Kalani left the area and headed back toward electric beach. They lost sight of him. So frustrating when things like this happen.Team R&B left and headed over to another west side location. When they got to the site there were five seals on the rocks snoozing. RN44, Da Benny RE74 was in the shallows, RW02 PvKauai on lower rocks and RH76 Kala with Kekoa RK72. Poor Kekoa vomited some yellow spew. Back in the old day if you picked up poo or spew you got a T-shirt. It was also an extra treat to see the whales and dolphins. One of the dolphins looks like a bottlenose.
Team R&B went back to see if they could find RN14 Kalani. Sure enough they found him hauled out on the rocks not to far from the outfall. Glad he found a peaceful spot to rest. From a distance they could see a seal hauling out at tracks. They were able to determine Kaale RH32. They called the hotline.
Then Team R&B decided go and check on the five seals. Much to their delight there was another seal had joined the party. Lefty RG28 was next to Kekoa and Kala, resting peacefully.
