02/09/2021 Tuesday Monk Seal Dailies

 

Today's dailies are brought to you by Lesley and Team R&B 💕.

Team R&B 💕 was checking the coast line when they noticed a seal cruising the coast towards tracks. The seal was RG28 Lefty who landed briefly, then left and disappeared.  On a later visit they saw that Lefty landed at tracks and was resting.

Team R&B 💕 then headed over to another westside location and found four seals on the rocks. They identified Kekoa Alii RK72, RH36 Kawena, RH76 Kala and a surprise to find RN44. Seems he left the bay with Kala RH76. 

If four seals weren't enough they spotted another seal hauling in R3CU. He landed on lower rocks and

had some words with RN44, but eventually settled down. Poor Kala RH76 was in the middle of the two boys.  When Team R&B 💕 returned for a second check the five critters were all still there but now seal number six arrived. RL70 Leina hauled up on rocks without hesitation. She went up and settled in with the others.

Despite the crowd of critters, Team R&B 💕 went to check the bay and were thrilled to find Lei Ola RH48 on the rocks resting alone. She is looking beautiful and getting pretty plump. We'll just have to wait and see if this is her year.
