Today's dailies are brought to you by Marilyn, Lesley and Team R&B💕. Lesley's Ka'ena update is part two of the dailies.
Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island today between 11:30 to 1:30. She spotted two critters today. Off to the right of the 1BS there was (UF1) unknown, subadult size, yellowish female belly and two tags. She changed position a few times and looks like she came down from higher in the vegetation at some point.
Near SRI was (UF2) unknown, subadult size, lighter gray female belly and two tags. Both seals are looking healthy.
Team R&B💕 got a late start today because they had a very special breakfast celebrations with junior sealette's 9th birthday! Happy Birthday!!! While at the lagoon they saw a seal foraging but it got spooked by a floating tube and disappeared. There was no ID and unfortunately no photos. Team R&B did call security for a heads up.
Off they went to check other locations and came up empty until they reached one location. They were a little concerned with a boat out laying nets, they kept watch to see if there were any seals around. However on the rocks were RN44, RK72 Kekoa and RG28 Lefty. They were all safe and resting comfortably. Lefty does have a new wound on his hind flipper.
While watching over the three boys, another seal came in fast and landed on lower rocks with RN44. It was none other then Kaale RH32. And then there was another seal came in to the right, it was RH76 Kala. Her nostrils were wide open, she seems tired, but now she can rest.
Last stop for Team R&B was at the bay. There they spotted R3CX Nalu on the rocks. Visitors were close to him taking pictures. Then they spotted another seal passing the jumpers and it landed on the rocks. This was the lovely Lei Ola RH48 she is looking a little green.
At an extra treat there were some awesome whales and they also got to see the dolphins at play.
