02/13/2021 Saturday Monk Seal Dailies

Today's dailies are brought to you by Team R&B 💕.

Team R&B 💕 started at the outfall finding RH32 Ka'ale and bosom buddy RN14 Kalani. The two were up to their usual antics. Then Team R&B 💕 spotted another seal trying to land on shore. It was RG28 Lefty unable to haul out with so many people. So Lefty kept going until he finally landed at tracks.

The surf was pounding at tracks and the surfers were taking

advantage. Ka'ale RH32 would haul out with RG28 Lefty. There were lots of people at the beach, they called the hotline twice. If that wasn't enough excitement here comes RN14 Kalani. He hauled out and there was a lot of interaction with the three large male seals. Unfortunately people were getting too close. The trio decided to leave the area and move to the left right into the crowd.

Team R&B 💕 did their best asking people to move back, but it went on deaf ears. Thankfully a volunteer arrived with signs. The signs got posted and people finally moved back. The three seals took advantage of the space and played on shore.

Team R&B 💕 left tracks to go check out another west side location. The area was consumed by waves, no place for seals to rest. BUT they spotted a green seal in the rocks. Turns out RN44 found a secure spot where he wouldn't be washed away.  Then there was movement on the other end of the rocks. There was Nalu R3CX.

Team R&B 💕 left the beaches for the day to get some rest, have lunch and take junior sealette home.
