Apparently the seals are on summer vacation, or either that hiding from Team Billand. Despite them putting in the time and miles of looking they only found Miss Lei Ola RH48 today. They first spotted her at 7:15 am this morning at the outfall. She was foraging but also stealing fish and eating live bait from the big poles. Hmmm she's picking up on Ka'ale's bad habits.
Team Billand also got to enjoy watching the dolphins this morning who were very active.
While watching Lei Ola they observed her get a hold of a stick fish and rip it apart eating piece by piece. The best part was while she was busy with the stick fish, she left the fishermen's bait alone.
By 9 am she got a hold of the last pole, as Team Billand watched the pole was being pulled they called out to the fisherman. Finally he came and as he pulled the line all that was left was a bent hook and the lead, Lei Ola got the fish. That was it for her, she left and they didn't see her again.
Team Billand was left scratching their heads today, after doing theie route and haul outs and no critters. Where could they all be?
