Jan 8, 2019 Monk Seal Dailies:

Todays dailies are brought to you by Team Billand.

Not sure what was involved in their early morning but their first sighting came at 9:45 am.  They arrived at a westside location and there was only one seal up inland on mid rocks. They ID'd RW02 PvKauai by his visible tags.  Then just as there was one, they spotted another seal coming up on the rocks. This critter was ID'd as RIP.  He took his time coming up on mid rocks, checking the area and then noticing RW02 to the left. Then he came up galumphed up on the high mid rocks and stayed there.

Team Billand left and went to do the Ka'ena West trek. Just before 2 pm they found Puna RK88 at the 20 mark. He was cute all snuggled by himself in the rocks snoozing the day away. On the way back he was still there resting quietly. He is looking very brown.

Team Billand returned to the westside beach to check on RIP and PvKauai, they were both still there. But now Lei Ola RH48 was there on mid rocks to the right. She was alone and snoozing. Thankfully the boys were not bothering her at all, and may not been aware she was there. 

On an entirely different note:  I was checking out some sites looking at furniture and artsy type things and I came across this image, which made me laugh out loud. It was on an modern met site featuring furniture designers. If I was someone who could afford it, I would buy this and invite my seal pals over so we could imitate our beloved critters. LOL.  If you know then you know. :-)
