9/29/2018 Monk Seal Dailies:

Today's dailies are brought to you by Team Billand, and Marilyn.

Team Billand found Pohaku at secrets early morning. She is 100% molted.
Next Team Billand found Mr. Ka'ale RH32 at his usual haul out spot. He is looking handsome and his belly is nice and white. They didn't get to see his back side to determine how much he has left. He was in his water hole snoozing on his own.
Their last find of the day was RW22 Kolohe at a west side beach. This is his third day on his own resting in the same area. When they did a later check he was gone.

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island for an hour in the afternoon. The island is looking quite green with the recent rains.  Marilyn spotted three critters and a possible 4th.
UU#1 a juvenile was snoozing near the waterline about 60 ft left of the 3BS. She never saw its belly or ID marks.
UU#2 a juvenile seal was snoozing by the entrance of Seal Rock Inlet (SRI). This critter had two tags but no markers or belly to ID.
R1KT hauled out to the 1BS. He was ID'd by applied N3 bleach on his left side. He moved up into the morning glory.
UU#3 hauled out to 1BS and looked to be a juvenile to subadult with 2 tags. This critter moved up into the morning glory and had some interaction with R1KT.  (This could be UU#1 since when Marilyn panned back UU1 was no longer on the beach.)  Light was fading fast so she headed out.
