Also I received a very sweet picture of an old buddy KP2 aka HoAilona from Dana, who had a visit with the bugga.
Marilyn noted they came across three critters today. Their first find was RK88 Puna in the water at Ponds. He spent his time dozing and then being very alert of his surroundings.... ah the weaner life!
On the rock reef in the middle of the main tide pool they found RO40 Ka'ena snoozing. He had a number of people fairly close to him, but seemed undisturbed. He was ID'd by his male belly, chipped tag and dorsal pit scar.
At 10 minute beach on their way back to the car they found R303 BG in a wallow near the waterline. She was ID'd by the partial C scar behind her left front flipper and new coat.
Team Billand spotted Ka'ale RH32 at the outfall and then spotted a UU in the area. They were unable to get the ID on the UU but did determine a clean coat, red tags and large white snout. Ka'ale has his new coat too but he is smaller than the UU.
Next Team Billand found RO28 Pohaku. She was resting on shore and covered in sand. (shake and bake) Team Billand did not spend a lot of time with her as they did not want to attract any attention her way.
