Today's dailies are brought to you by Melody and Lesley. Lesley's complete Ka'ena update is part 2 of the dailies.
Melody was out on the west side today and started out at Paradise Cove. She waited for an hour but no critters showed up. (bummers). Then she headed out to the outfall and spoke with a couple of the fishermen who said that there had been one seal there early early, but had left after an hour.
From there Melody went and checked a nearby beach and found Kekoa RK72 snoozing on the rocks. He didn't move for over an hour, so it made it a bit challenging to ID him. But with persistence and some input from Barb she was able to positively ID Kekoa. Melody called Kekoa into the hotline.
Next stop for Melody she bumped into Melina and while they were chatting and heading back to check on Kekoa . They were surprised to find little shiny "butthead" had just hauled out to join Kekoa. It looked like he was heading over to Kekoa, but decided not to and put himself in the tidepools. After playing for a bit he started to snooze. Melody stayed for an hour or more and then headed home. THANK YOU... Melody.
