10/20/2018 Monk Seal Dailies (part 1) RH32 RK72

Today's dailies are brought to you by Team Billand and the Saturday Ka'ena Team updated by Lesley in part two of the dailies.
Seems the Ka'ena Team got all the seals today with eight sightings vs. Team Billand with two.

Out at the outfall Team Billand saw a seal foraging for a long time outside the outfall area. It was passing back and forth and was way out. Later they found find Ka'ale hauled out at a nearby beach. He was relaxing alone on the rocks. They didn't see any other seals not even the dolphins today.

They did find Kekoa Alii RK72 out on a westside beach. He was well hidden and resting alone. Apparently many of the campers were gone yesterday but back today. Oh well let's hope none of them disturb Kekoa.

While watching out for seals by electric beach Team Billand happened to notice something on the rocks, a hooked or entangled turtle. There were a few good samaritans close by who snipped away the line and set the critter free.
