December 24, 2023 Sunday's Dailies (Xmas Eve)

Today's dailies are brought to you by Team R&B💕  Also in the spirit of the season there are some traditions that we have on the blog. One is the annual picture of Benny and Irma and the other is the beautiful Monk Seal Night Before Christmas written by Dana Jones.

First with today's sightings from Team R&B. Their first stop at the bay they spotted a seal foraging. They ID''d RL20 Kalua, he was alone getting his fill. They waited but he never landed so they left the area.

At another west side location they found PvKauai RW02 at seal inlet. He was alone and resting.  They noted a concern for more folks setting up camp in the area. They are waling on the rocks where the seals usually rest. There was fishing line across the rocks where the seals usually haul in.  It's a concern and hopefully no harm will come to the seals.

Last stop they spotted a seal on the rocks resting. When they got a little closer they ID'd RG28 Lefty, he was alone and just chilling.
On the other hand the dolphins were out having a great time playing.

I received an email from Dana wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas. Although Dana isn't on island anymore, her heart is still with the monk seals.  So in honor of tradition and Dana I am sharing her Monk Seal Night Before Christmas.
