Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 2:55 to 4:55 and there were two seals during her observation.
On LPB was a subadult to adult male that she believes to be RK24. She did see a scar on the lower lip and a scar on the right rear side. He had a light male belly and two red tags.
Between the 3BS and SRI was a Juvenile Male: larger juvenile to small subadult size, light male belly and two red tags.
There was a male net fisherman and his son on the island. They arrived in a blue and green kayak. tsk tsk tsk.
Team R&B started off waiting for seals to arrive at Kahe. They watched the whales with people on shore. Team R&B shared their binoculars having fun with the folks.
Finally after making multiple checks to the area they saw a seal up on the rocks. There was RG28 Lefty.
While they were observing RG28 they see a seal slithering about in the water. The seal was coming in, and they knew they had seen this seal before, its face, eyes looking like eye liner. By the large marge size they figured it was a fat female. She land but they couldn't make the ID.
One of the crazy residents came so they left quickly. They watched and as soon as the craZy lady left they headed back to get a tag shot. The tag was worn but they could figure out H48. It's Lei Ola!! She's back.
Lefty met up with her and the two of them were on the rocks chilling.
They suddenly saw a seal pass them in the water. It quickly went by they lost sight of it. Then they see another seal landing on the rocks. It was RL08.
They left the area and headed over to another west side location. First they ID'd RM31 Kairesting in the shallows. He moved higher up on to the rocks.
RW02 was alone at seal inlet.
Then there was RH76 Kala to the right.
Their last seal of the day was the lovely RL42 Leia. She was alone resting comfortably on shore by the rocks. They didn't stay since they didn't want to draw attention to her, since this area is a hot spot for swimmers and fishing.
